A multi-plant operations hub — turning a dozen-plus spreadsheets into one real-time decision-making interface.
Challenge
Purchasing, warehousing, production and finance each used their own tools, and data was pulled together by hand. At every month-end, the team spent days reconciling the numbers, and management was always looking at last month’s picture of the business.
Approach
We spent several weeks working alongside frontline staff, turning the processes scattered across departments into one complete map of how data flows. On that foundation, we designed a modular system architecture:
- A single source of truth: Purchasing, inventory, production scheduling, and receivables and payables share the same master data, so everything is entered only once.
- Role-based interfaces: Warehouse staff, buyers and managers each see screens designed for their own work — not a generic form crammed with fields.
- Phased rollout: We launched inventory and purchasing first, then added production and finance once things were stable, so operations never stopped during the transition.
Results
After launch, inventory and order status across every plant can be checked in real time, and the month-end close shrank from days to hours. The system keeps growing, with new modules added as the business expands.
