Challenge
Requests for quotes, quotes and order confirmations all went back and forth over email and Excel. Versions got mixed up, progress was invisible, and finding out where a single order stood often meant asking several people.
Approach
- We designed a collaboration portal used by both suppliers and the group’s purchasing team, with quotes, orders and shipping documents on a single shared timeline.
- We built fine-grained role permissions and complete audit logs to meet the group’s internal control requirements.
- Two-way API sync with the group’s existing internal systems means nothing has to be entered twice.
Results
Order status is now transparent both inside and outside the company, and communication overhead has dropped sharply. The platform also laid the groundwork for digitizing the rest of the group’s supply chain.
